circa 1895 but dated 1919, with blued 6 1/2in. barrel, the sighting rib signed and marked with patent dates to 1871, blade and bead fore-sight, drift adjustable rear-sight, break-open frame with automatic ejection, blued fluted cylinder, blued frame, the side-plate inscribed 'CRESCENT ATHLETIC CLUB POLICE RESERVE HANDICAP MATCH. WON BY WM. N. FRASER, 1919', colour-hardened hammer and trigger-guard bow, chequered rosewood grips with inlaid 'S&W' roundels, the whole retaining most of its original blued finish and appearing little used
